Dear Members of the IEEE Education Society,
It is time for the annual solicitation of nominations for Members-At-Large of the Board of Governors (BoG) and open officer positions. The Nominating Committee welcomes nominations and self-nominations for the following positions.
There are four Members-At-Large BoG positions up for election this year, with the three-year term of service being 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2020. A maximum of two consecutive three-year terms is allowed.
The three open officer positions up for election this year are: Vice President for Conferences and Workshops, Vice President for Publications and Media, and Secretary. Each office has a two-year term of service from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2019. A maximum of three consecutive two-year terms is allowed.
NOMINATIONS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 23 JUNE 2017.

Important Note: There are two BoG meetings per year, one at the ASEE Annual Conference (June) and one at the Frontiers in Education Conference (October). BoG Members-At-Large and officers are expected to attend a minimum of one BoG meeting every year of their mandate. THE EDUCATION SOCIETY DOES NOT REIMBURSE COSTS OF TRAVEL / HOTEL / REGISTRATION FOR ATTENDING THE BOG MEETINGS.
The election of Members-At-Large-Members of the BoG will be conducted via a membership-wide electronic election later in the year.
The election of Society officers will occur at the Fall BoG Meeting, which will be held during the Frontiers in Education Conference in Indianapolis, IN, 18-21 October 2017 (note: candidates are not required to be present at the election).
Upon receiving a nomination or self-nomination, I will contact each of the nominees to complete an information form which will be duly considered by the Nominating Committee.
