The Frontiers in Education (FIE) Conference is a major international conference focusing on educational innovations and research in engineering and computing education and in 2021 we are planning to resume our face-to-face meeting in Lincoln, Nebraska.

FIE 2021 continues a long tradition of disseminating results in engineering and computing education. It is an ideal forum for sharing ideas, learning about developments and interacting with colleagues in these fields. The theme for 2021 is Envisioning Convergence in Engineering Education. Creating a convergence in engineering education and workforce development is currently the frontier of engineering educators’ agenda, albeit a challenging and long-term agenda. Developing convergent engineering curricula requires integrating knowledge and techniques from multiple disciplines and providing opportunities for students to develop their professional skills to competently address scientific and societal opportunities and challenges.

Note: FIE 2021 is scheduled to be an in-person meeting. If we cannot meet physically, the conference will be held virtually, and all finalized papers will still be published.
