MERLOT, the Multimedia Education Resource for Online Teaching, is an internationally recognized, decades-old project of the California State University System. MERLOT is a resource for finding peer-reviewed, high-quality content for inclusion in online instruction.
The Education Society has been a MERLOT partner for several years, having recently renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the organization.
The MERLOT IT and CS disciplines are the two collections of online peer-reviewed higher education learning materials endorsed by both and IEEE Education Society and the IEEE Computer Society. The Education and Computer Societies endorsements are noted with a banner on the IT and CS MERLOT portal pages. The IT and CS disciplines are both aligned with the undergraduate course topics recommended by CSAB (Computing Sciences Accreditation Board) for accreditation of degree programs in computer science, information systems, software engineering, information technology, and cybersecurity.
