Dr. Dibin Mary George is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico Mayagüez. She has more than 16 years of research and teaching experience in RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave engineering, with expertise in the design and development of advanced antenna and waveguide systems. Her research focuses on microwave and millimeter-wave antennas, metasurfaces, metamaterials, substrate integrated waveguides (SIW), phased array antennas, epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) metamaterial antennas, biomedical antennas, microwave brain imaging systems, and optical power splitters/combiners.

Dr. George completed her Ph.D. in Microwave Electronics from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2019, where her doctoral dissertation focused on the development of substrate integrated waveguide epsilon-near-zero antennas for wireless communication applications. During her doctoral studies, she also participated in the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) project and conducted research at the University of Kent as a visiting researcher. Before joining UPRM, Dr. George served as a Senior Project Associate at National Aerospace Laboratories, where she worked on advanced antenna technologies for aerospace and wireless communication applications. She also served as a Guest Lecturer and Physics faculty member at academic institutions in Kerala, India.

At UPRM, Dr. George leads research activities in advanced electromagnetic systems and mentors both graduate and undergraduate students. She actively contributes to proposal review activities for organizations including the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the U.S. Department of Energy. Dr. George has authored numerous journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters in the areas of antennas, metamaterials, and metasurfaces. She is a Senior Member of IEEE and URSI, an Affiliate Member of the IEEE MTT-S Technical Committee 4, and a member of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Technical Committee TC-9. She also serves as the Chapters Committee Chair of the IEEE Education Society for 2026, faculty advisor of the IEEE APS Chapter and IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group at UPRM, and Magazine Editor for the IEEE Western Puerto Rico Section. Dr. George actively participates in international conferences, workshops, and technical committees related to antennas and microwave engineering.
