A Session for Recent IEEE Education Society Student Awardees (2022-2023) 8 April 2023: 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM EDT | Organized by the IEEE Education Society Vice President of Educational Activities, Hamadou Saliah-Hassane Our society's award-winning student special session was jointly organized by the IEEE Education Society Educational Activities and the EdSoc Standards Committee to provide an opportunity for student leaders involved in our standards activities as well as the Virtual Graduate Study Consortium initiative approved in 2021 by the IEEE Education Society. The goal is for them to present their respective contributions. The award-winning presenters are formed by the 2022 Student leadership awardee, the student challenge awardees of the P2834 on Standard on Secure and Trusted Learning Systems, in development, and those who contributed, presented, and expressed interest in the kick-off session of the Virtual Graduate Study Consortium initiative in December 2022. To summarize the impact on students involved, here are two testimonies chosen among several others we found on social media: “We are honored to share that we presented our project ConvAuther: A Conversational Al system that enhances multifactor authentication by using NLP and voice recognition techniques and, more importantly, establishes Face Recognition as a user identification method rather than a verification technique, at the Student Awardees 2022-2023 session organized by the IEEE Education Society (EdSoc) for IEEE Education Week. This session was headed by Professor Hamadou Saliah-Hassane and Professor Luis Felipe Zapata Rivera We are extremely grateful for their valuable insights and inspiration." "We are thankful to the organizers of IEEE P2834 Student Challenge 2022 as well. The challenge was headed by the chair Dr. Abdellah Touhafi and the co-chair Dr. Larisa Dunai Dunai. We appreciate their guidance and support throughout the challenge."
