Job Description: Chapter Chair – IEEE Education Society
Position: Chapter Chair
Organization: IEEE Education Society
Location: Varies (Local Chapter-Based)
Term: Typically 1–2 years (as per IEEE guidelines)

Overview:
The Chapter Chair serves as the primary leader and representative of an IEEE Education Society chapter. This role involves fostering professional engagement, organizing events, and ensuring alignment with the Society’s mission to advance education in engineering and technology. The Chair works closely with local members, regional IEEE leadership, and the Society’s Board of Governors.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Administration: Provide strategic direction for the chapter and oversee its operations.
Event Planning: Organize technical talks, workshops, and networking events to engage chapter members.
Membership Engagement: Promote IEEE Education Society membership and encourage professional development activities.
Communication & Outreach: Maintain communication with members, Society leadership, and IEEE regional offices.
Financial & Reporting Duties: Ensure the chapter adheres to IEEE financial policies and submit required reports to the IEEE and the Education Society.
Collaboration: Work with universities, industry professionals, and other IEEE entities to promote educational initiatives.

Qualifications:
Active IEEE member with a strong interest in education and engineering.
Experience in leadership, event coordination, or academic/industry collaboration preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
