Position: Chair, Fellow Nomination Advisory Committee

Overview:
The Fellow Nomination Advisory Committee Chair leads efforts to identify, mentor, and support potential IEEE Fellow candidates within the IEEE Education Society. This role is focused on proactively guiding members through the Fellow nomination process, ensuring that qualified individuals receive the necessary mentorship and resources to prepare strong applications. The Chair collaborates with the Fellows Committee, nominators, and the IEEE Fellow Committee to enhance the Society’s representation in the IEEE Fellow program.

Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Identification: Proactively identify and encourage qualified members to pursue IEEE Fellow status.
Mentorship & Guidance: Provide guidance to potential nominees and their nominators on the nomination process, required documentation, and IEEE Fellow criteria.
Support & Review: Assist candidates and nominators in strengthening nomination packages, including reviewing drafts and providing constructive feedback.
Collaboration with Fellows Committee: Work closely with the IEEE Education Society Fellows Committee to ensure alignment in candidate evaluation and selection.
Outreach & Awareness: Organize workshops, webinars, and informational sessions to educate Society members about the Fellow nomination process.
Reporting & Coordination: Maintain records of nomination efforts and report progress to the IEEE Education Society Board of Governors.

Qualifications:
Must hold IEEE Fellow status.
Experience in mentoring, nominations, or IEEE governance preferred.
Strong understanding of IEEE Fellow nomination criteria and process.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
