Lance C. Pérez received his BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, and the MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He has been a faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) since August 1996, where he is currently dean of the College of Engineering and the Omar H. Heins Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the areas of error control coding, information, image processing, and engineering education. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of ASEE, Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu.
