Elena Domínguez Romero is a senior lecturer of English Language and Linguistics at the Complutense University of Madrid. Her recent research interests include Evidentiality and Modality in media discourse as well as Applied Linguistics and innovative teaching. She is a research member of "EVIDISPRAG" Evidentiality: A Discourse-Pragmatic Study of English and Other European Languages” (FFI2015-65474-P) and is currently working on evidence perception and visual literacy. Her research publications include over 50 papers in national and international journals and book chapters in Peter Lang, Routledge, Multilingual Matters or Echinox. She is co-editor of the volumes Evidentiality and Modality in European Languages (Peter Lang 2017) and Thinking Modally. English and Contrastive Studies on Modality (Cambridge Scholars 2015).
Elena Domínguez Romero is a contracted professor with a doctorate attached to the Department of English Studies at the Complutense University of Madrid. In research, his most recent interests revolve around Evidentiality and Modality in the discourse of the media, as well as Applied Linguistics and teaching innovation. Elena is part of the EVIDISPRAG research team "Evidentiality: A Discourse-Pragmatic Study of English and Other European Languages" (FFI2015-65474-P) and is currently working on evidential perception and visual skills.
