Abstract
Description

IEEE Educational Activities and the IEEE Education Society are proud to announce a new virtual conference, Effective Remote Instruction: Reimagining the Engineering Student Experience, scheduled each day during the week of 27-31 July 2020. We appreciate the generous support of donors to the IEEE Foundation COVID-19 Response Fund, which has helped to provide funding for the event.

In the first half of 2020, the academic world was forced to abruptly shift from the long-established in-person classroom model to online instruction.

With the new semester approaching, and the foreseeable future of the higher ed classroom unknown, faculty from across the globe are invited to learn and share real-world examples and best practices for remote instruction in this free event from IEEE.

The Effective Remote Instruction: Reimagining the Engineering Student Experience conference will offer interactive and collaborative sessions with engineering educators who have walked the walk—remotely! Learn practical techniques and tips for remote instruction in the engineering, computer science, and technology classrooms that you can use when planning your next semester.

The event features prime online networking opportunities throughout the week, culminating with a virtual coffee break, giving attendees an opportunity to share their own experiences and learn from other educators around the world. Following the successful completion of an event assessment, attendees are eligible to earn an IEEE digital certificate (including CEU and PDH credits).
