Kai Pan Mark (Senior Member, IEEE) received the A.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in computer studies from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, the M.Sc. degree in information engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in information systems from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2012.

Dr. Mark is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, Heslington, U.K. He is a Senior Education Development Officer with the Talent and Education Development Office, City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on video-based learning and assessment, the role of Generative AI in education, and learner-teacher co-creation. The work of his team has been recognised with several awards, including the QS Reimagine Education Global Education Award (2024), making them the first team from Hong Kong to receive this honour. Other awards include the QS Reimagine Education Smart Omnichannel Campus Gold Award (2024) and the Asia Silver Award (2023). His team was also nominated for the Hong Kong University Grants Committee Teaching Award (Collaborative Teams) in 2024.

Dr. Mark was the recipient of the 2010 Frontiers in Education Conference New Faculty Fellowship and the 2010 IEEE Education Society Student Leadership Award. For his contribution to members in regional level activities and for contributing to IEEE Education Society in his early career, he received the IEEE Education Society's Edwin C. Jones, Jr. Meritorious Service Award in 2022. He is currently the Vice Chair of the Chapters Committee in the IEEE Education Society and the Immediate Past Chair of its Education Chapter in the Hong Kong Section. He has served as a Committee Member in the International Conference on Teaching, Assessment, and Learning for Engineering Education(TALE) since its establishment in 2012.
