Kai Pan Mark (Senior Member, IEEE) received the A.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in computer studies from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2002 and 2005, respectively, the M.Sc. degree in information engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in information systems from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2012.
He is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE, Heslington, U.K. He is an Educational Development Officer (Senior Digital Learning Specialist) with the Educational Development Centre, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He is keen on applying educational technologies to promote student engagement in learning, particularly in using video technology and generative AI tools for blended learning and assessment activities.
Dr. Mark was the recipient of the 2010 Frontiers in Education Conference New Faculty Fellowship and the 2010 IEEE Education Society Student Leadership Award. He is currently the Chair of the Chapters Committee in the IEEE Education Society and the Chair of its Education Chapter in the Hong Kong Section. He has served as a Committee Member in the International Conference on Teaching, Assessment, and Learning for Engineering Education(TALE) since its establishment in 2012.
