Rebecca M. Reck (Senior Member, IEEE) received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2005, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2010, and a Ph.D. degree in Systems and Entrepreneurial Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016.
She is a Teaching Associate Professor and the Associate Head of Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Bioengineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research includes instructional laboratories, alternative grading, entrepreneurial mindset, and equity-focused teaching. She teaches biomedical instrumentation, signal processing, and control systems. Previously she was an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University and a Senior Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins.
Dr. Reck was the recipient of the 2017 FIE New Faculty Fellowship. She is currently serving as an IEEE ABET PEV and on the FIE Helen Plants Award committee.
