The 2026 IEEE DEMOcon Digital Education and MOOCs Conference now merged with EMOOCs - The European MOOCs Stakeholders Summit calls for submissions from a variety of disciplines and topics. We encourage submissions that build on the theme of enhancing the definition of success of a MOOC project or digital education. All submissions will be double-blind peer-reviewed, and a selection will be chosen to present a vibrant program that maximizes time for discussion and participation through a single-track threaded with poster sessions, full-length paper presentations, workshops, and keynote presentations from leading experts.

Full and Short Papers

The use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated text in an article shall be disclosed in the acknowledgements section of any paper submitted to an IEEE Conference or Periodical. The sections of the paper that use AI-generated text shall have a citation to the AI system used to generate the text.

Authors are invited to submit a structured abstract for a Full Paper or a Short Paper, reporting original research of a theoretical or applied nature, via the online submission system, EDAS. Structured Abstracts must closely follow the guidelines outlined below.

Panels
Panel sessions are intended to engage the digital learning and MOOCS community in multiple perspectives on a given issue on the frontiers of education. These sessions take place during the standard technical session and are approximately 90 minutes long. The number of panel sessions is limited. The sessions should be of value to DEMOcon Conference attendees, enhance the experience and knowledge of the participants, and help advance the frontiers of digital education and MOOCS.

Workshops

Conference Workshops provide participants with an opportunity to extend their knowledge and strengthen their skills in the area addressed by the workshops. Conference Workshops should provide a collaborative, active learning environment for the attendees. Attendees should leave with skills, knowledge, or materials that they can use in their teaching practice, scholarship teaching and learning, or education research.
