Call for Nominations: 2026/2027 Editor-in-Chief

The IEEE Education Society is pleased to invite applications and nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for two of it's publications: IEEE Transactions on Education (IEEE-ToE) and IEEE Revista Iberoamericana de Tecnologías del Aprendizaje (IEEE RITA). As the Society’s flagship archival journal, IEEE-ToE publishes high-quality peer-reviewed research that advances the theory and practice of engineering and computing education. IEEE RITA focuses on technological innovation and educational research with a specialized emphasis on the Ibero-American community. Together, these journals represent the forefront of pedagogical advancement, learning technologies, and research methodologies in the field, and we are seeking visionary leaders to guide their continued growth and impact.

Submission Process

Applications should be submitted no later than 22 May 2026.

Application packages should be sent via email to the Vice President for Publications ((Click to show email)) and the Society Operations Manager ((Click to show email).)

Selection Process

Applications will be evaluated by a Committee appointed by the Vice President for Publications. The committee will assess candidates based on their editorial experience, scholarly leadership, and vision for the journal.

The final appointment will be approved by the Board of Governors of the IEEE Education Society.
